南青山の一角に佇む、光あふれる大きな吹き抜け窓の空間。
かつて花の城と呼ばれたこの建物は、文化を育む街に暮らす人々と時代の変化を受けとめながら50年間余の歴史を刻んでまいりました。

表参道駅からほど近い立地にありながらも、喧騒から一歩離れた居心地の良さと空間の自由度を生かし、ふたたび現代の“創造の舞台”として多彩な感性とアイデアを迎え入れます。

The building in which our gallery is located was constructed as the residence of the Ikebana (Japanese traditional flower arrangement) master she existed after World War II. The timeworn concrete walls even have a warm feeling, and the glass-enclosed atrium wears the atmosphere of Japanese modernism.

Once called the “Castle of Flowers,” the building has been a salon for prominent artists and business executives, and has also accumulated history in Minami Aoyama, accompanying the city and people's lifestyles as they have changed with the times.

In the spring of 2025, it will be revived again as a castle of art where modern individuality and sensibility can flourish while maintaining the space of the original.

CATHARSIS　【カタルシス】：感情の浄化

心に閉じ込められている感情を解放し、

心を浄化することをテーマに

自然や文様をモチーフにした線を表現する。

私は長年アパレル業界に身を置き、この10年は機織りを軸とする会社で様々な柄の考案などを行ってきました。

そこで多く用いられたデザインモチーフは古来中国から伝来し、江戸時代に庶民の生活や文化に深く浸透した「吉祥文様」がベースとなっています。

その文様に日々触れていく中で、自らの表現活動を行うにあたっても、文様にこめられた「無病息災」「繁栄」「長寿」などの幸せを願う「縁起担ぎ」の意味を込めたものにしたいという想いがあります。

具体的には

水の波のような形状は「大海原のように平穏な暮らしが続くこと」

矢の羽根のような形状は「前進、魔除け」

三角の鱗のような形状は「身を守る魔除け」

草や葉、花のような形状は「強い生命力での繁栄・長寿」

といった願いを込めて線で表現をしています。

Yoshiki Nakamura 　

1987年生まれ、福岡県出身。

自然や動植物、古来の文様などの細部に着目し線画の極致を探究するペインター。

アクリル画を中心に見るものの心の傷や憂いを洗い流すような表現を追い求める。

2023年公募展示“START ME UP”選出・展示。

FUKUOKA WALL ART賞2023入選。

2025年福岡関西交流展示公募選出。

個展、個人オーダーや企業タイアップなど多岐に渡り活動。

Yoshiki Nakamura
Born in 1987 in Fukuoka, Japan.
Nakamura works primarily with translucent acrylic paintings, characterized by modern compositions built from layers of flowing, organic forms. His work is inspired by nature, plants and animals, and traditional East Asian auspicious patterns—visual languages that celebrate the fundamental forms of life.

Wave-like motifs symbolize the wish for a calm and peaceful life, like the vast open sea. Feather-like forms reminiscent of arrow fletching represent forward movement and protection from harm. Triangular, scale-like patterns evoke talismans for self-protection, while shapes inspired by grasses, leaves, and flowers signify vitality, prosperity, and longevity.

Through these layered symbols, Nakamura’s paintings carry quiet prayers intended to gently wash away the emotional wounds and unspoken sorrows of those who encounter them.
